Happy One Year Anniversary!
Thank you for such a wonderful year! Last October I started offering classes in my garage studio, and this has been such a fun ride getting to know new people, sharing my love of clay, and watching everyone's excitement with what they can make out of clay. I put together a video last month so you can see some highlights! I am overwhelmed by the number of people who have stepped up to make this a success, including my husband supporting from behind the scenes, Shari helping me clean and envision my Plants and Pots Studio, Haley cleaning and making test tiles and so many of the hard jobs, Kristen donating the perfect shelf for finished pieces, Cene helping students with the wheel, Jet and her son for giving me an amazing deal on clay and glazes, Cindy who has helped inspire me with glass fusing ideas, and literally so many others. An extra shout out for anyone who gave me a five star rating on Google or Facebook or helped with the Black Forest Festival. SO MANY PEOPLE TELL ME THEY FOUND ME BY LOOKING UP POTTERY CLASSES NEAR ME ON GOOGLE, heard about us from a friend, or they saw us at the FESTIVAL!
I'm gearing up for a few big things!
The Black Forest Arts and Crafts Sale is November 4-8 at the Black Forest Community Center. Check for more info on Facebook. I will have lots of pottery for sale, plus there's always great baked goods, jams and jellies, and so much more! That same week I'll be selling things in Breckenridge at the annual Colorado Art Educator's Conference.
Open House Pots and Plants Sale in my IN-HOME GALLERY November 27th and 28th with EVERYTHING 25%, so you can get gifts for Christmas or just stock up. 10 AM- 4 PM each day. Everyone will get a free ornament while they last. Bring a friend if you want to show them where you make pottery. Plus, it just feels good to support small businesses and find unique gifts!
I have started booking private lessons and groups that reach out for special events! Just email and ask if you have an idea; Jenny George at Happychap2@msn.com. We can do birthday parties, classes for couples, office retreats and more! I have added another potter's wheel, so I now have a total of five! I also keep adding textures, patterns, stencils, and glazes! So lots of possibilities whether you like hand building projects, wheel throwing, or both! Have you seen how much fun you can have with finger painting Amaco Inks? It's one of my new favorites.
